Statement

I draw life. I define my creative action as drawing, whether I'm using a paintbrush, charcoal, or my fingers. In my work the word 'draw' means not only to place marks on a surface but also to extract, like to draw a breath or to draw a conclusion. My work is informed by empathy and the experience of life: mine and that of plants, animals, and other people.
